The Penn at Stoke Park is a new restaurant opening within the historic Stoke Park estate in Buckinghamshire, home to a Grade I listed mansion set within over 300 acres of parkland.

Working with HiStory Hospitality and the team at Stoke Park, United Creatives were appointed to create the identity for The Penn at Stoke Park, bringing the character and heritage of the estate into the restaurant.

Named after John Penn, who rebuilt the mansion in the late eighteenth century and helped shape the estate as it is known today. A writer and political figure, Penn left a lasting mark on Stoke Park’s history.

The logo draws on this history, using a framed design that gives The Penn a distinctive and recognisable identity.

Logo Inspiration

The logo frame takes inspiration from historic bills of fare and Regency-era menus, where serving platters were illustrated as part of the table layout.

This became the basis for the border around The Penn at Stoke Park logo.

We explored different approaches of the logo and frame, looking at different shapes, proportions and levels of detail before arriving at the final design.
