Mamma Roma are a restaurant group bringing traditional Roman street food to the modern world. They offer a delicious range of thin crust pizzas, made fresh with authentic Italian ingredients. We developed a new brand identity for the restaurant based on the Capitoline Wolf, which references the mythology and founding story of the ancient city of Rome.
Supporting brand elements are inspired by Italian visual culture, with a colour scheme and typographic palette building on themes present in hand-painted signage, packaging and vintage travel posters. The resulting aesthetic has an authentic Italian feel with a minimal execution that helps ensure a consistent presentation across a range of brand touchpoints.
We worked collaboratively with interior designers Quadrant to develop a range of interior wall murals, signage and artworks.
