Founded in 2007 by San Francisco natives Brandon and Jen, Tortilla brings California-style neighbourhood burritos and tacos to the UK.

With the restaurant chain expanding into the European market we worked with the team to refresh their graphics and interiors, creating a more vibrant, fun and authentic taqueria inspired brand identity.

With over 75 restaurants across the UK and a loyal brand following we didn’t want to start from scratch. Our aim was to develop their existing identity, maintaining brand equity whilst injecting more fun, vibrancy and a less corporate aesthetic to the world of Tortilla.

The result was a brand refresh that covered a wide range of graphics projects, from logo design and identity to interior and exterior signage, merchandise, packaging and more.

Inspired by the heavily stickered food trucks of L.A. and the skate and surf scene of California we created a set of Tortilla brand stickers, used as assets across the brand world and on merchandise.
