Opened in 1893, the American Bar at the Savoy is the longest surviving cocktail bar in London and one of the most renowned in the world. Working closely with the bar team there we designed the latest iteration of their signature cocktails menu. Inspired by the bars recent 135th year anniversary the menu, titled Liquid Moments, is a celebration of stories and moments from both the past and present.

Keen to evoke a sense of history, luxury and personal storytelling our design for Liquid Moments is inspired by oldschool leather bound diaries and classic book making.

A thick claret leather cover is embossed with a decorative pattern artwork, sourced and then re-drawn from the Savoy image archives. Gold foil typography adds a luxury touch and completes this sophisticated but understated cover, inviting the customer to discover what is inside.

The center of the menu features a selection of historic and contemporary images carefully selected from the Savoy and American Bar archives.
